Controller

The SoftLogix controller seamlessly integrates machine control, motion control and information processing from shop floor to top floor. Its multi-tasking operating system supports 32 configurable tasks that you can prioritize. One task can be continuous. The others can be periodic or event tasks. Each task can have as many as 32 programs, each with its own local data and logic, allowing virtual machines to operate independently within the same controller.

The Allen-Bradley Pico controller performs simple logic, timing, counting, and real-time clock operations. Splitting the difference between a timing relay and a low-end PLC, the Pico controller is ideal for relay replacement applications, simple control applications such as building and parking lot lighting, and applications in which cost is a primary issue. Designed with ease of use in mind, all programming and data adjustments can be done via the on-board keypad and LCD display, or with PicoSoft configuration software.

Pico Series B — Replaces Series A

The Pico Series B controllers are equipped with faster processor speeds and an expanded memory, resulting in three times the ladder logic capacity and twice the number of function blocks than previously available. The new line of controllers also features backwards-compatible programming, improved display functionality and additional power supply options. The Pico Series B line of controllers includes an increased retentive memory range, enabling the controllers to be used in applications that require up to 128 lines of ladder logic. The controllers also have additional coil functions, and enhanced clock and seasonal time configurations.

The new Pico GFX follows the same format as its Pico family members. Keep it small, simple, and flexible. Output text, message text or fault messages, graphics, pictures, operating instructions, date, time, and more. In addition, you can acknowledge fault messages, enter values, initiate actions, and more. Programming is performed via the use of the display buttons or with new PicoSoft Pro programming software.

Applications

The new Pico GFX services existing Pico applications such as: Machine Control, Commercial Lighting, Agricultural, Vessel Control, HVAC Systems, and Packaging and Material Handling. In addition, the Pico GFX can be used for control functions such as speed and valve control, using new math instructions and embedded analog inputs and output.
