Learning methodology
Training is done in small groups. The simulator con-fronts the groups with situations very different in nature and often requiring quick decisions. The participants thus learn how to work and make decisions as a team.
The feedback and consequences of the different decisions are immediately visible. Human factors such as motivation, team spirit and communication are very well integrated.
At the end of the simulation, the trainees assess the mistakes made and the lessons learnt individually and as a group.

Prerequisites
This simulation does not require many prerequisites. We recommend:
- A general knowledge of Project Management and project life cycle
- Knowledge of the Gantt
- Diagram and the Activity Network.

From the teacher’s point of view
The participants work in groups of 3 to 4 people.
If possible, all of the participants are in the same room.
The coach does not intervene frequently during the simulation; his/her role is more prominent during the debriefings.
One trainer can manage up to 8-10 groups in a single room.
Before the training starts, the coach will take a day-long «Train-the-Trainer»course to master the simulation tool perfectly.
Theonlymaterialneededforthecourseisacomputer–preferablyalaptop–for each group, with an external loudspeaker.

Agenda of a training
Usually, a training with SimulTrain consists of two sessions, with a duration of 3-4 hours each.
It’s not recommended to run the two sessions the same day.
